"2018 or earlier" covers every domain already in the file when the project's Git history begins (8 October 2018). Names like trashmail.de, discardmail.de, spambog.de and wegwerfemail.de come from that era and still receive mail.

Newer arrivals look different. 8 of the .de entries are hostnames under free dynamic-DNS zones, such as 000webmail.ddnss.de, and they point at GPTMail's server, not a German one.

224 in our copy (16 October 2026) and 224 upstream on 5 November 2026. 165 of them were already in the list file when its Git history starts in October 2018.
Which temp mail services run the most listed .de domains?
By mail server on 5 November 2026: Muellmail's server (tja.papierkorb.me) handles 36 listed domains, 11 of them .de; discard.email 17 (7 .de); TrashMail's server 8 (6 .de).
Are old .de temp mail domains still active?
Mostly. 162 of the 224 .de domains had an MX record on 5 November 2026 and only 19 were gone, a far lower share than on endings such as .ru or the old Freenom ones.
Is wegwerfemail.de on the list?
Yes. wegwerfemail.de and wegwerfemail.com are both listed, and on 5 November 2026 both delivered to the same server as muellmail.com.
