What we do
Volt Ghost gives you a working email address in one click, with no account, so you never have to hand your real address to a site you don't trust yet. Inboxes last 24 hours, can be extended once for free (up to 7 days), and can be reopened on any device with a recovery link. When they expire, they're deleted.
What makes us different: by default the addresses look like real people's ([email protected]) instead of random strings, and you can come back to your inbox on another device.
Principles
- Privacy by deletion. The best way to protect data is not to keep it. Expired inboxes and their messages are removed automatically, every hour.
- No accounts, no tracking ads. We don't ask who you are, and there are no advertising trackers on the site.
- Honest limits. Receive-only, no attachments, one free extension. We say so up front.
- No abuse. A light bot check, rate limits and a sender blocklist keep the service usable for people, not spam bots.
How it's built
Mail for our domains (mailghost.cyou, mailghost.cfd) is received by Cloudflare Email Routing and handed to a small worker. The worker passes it to our API, which stores it in a database until the inbox expires. The website itself is a static site served by Cloudflare Pages.
