Mailinator Domains: 90 Alternate Domains on Mailinator Servers

The servers at a glance

Records were read through Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS resolver and the address owners through ARIN's RDAP service. The strict SPF and DMARC pair is what a receive-only service should publish: it tells other providers to reject any mail claiming to come from mailinator.com.

How the domains point at Mailinator

Most of these domains are short or jokey names that send everything to mail.mailinator.com. A few are set up differently, and the differences matter if you match on MX records:

• 5 use the bare name mailinator.com as their MX host. That name resolves to Cloudflare web addresses rather than the Linode mail servers; we didn't test whether mail is still delivered for them.
• 4 list a Mailinator server alongside their own or another provider's host, so mail may or may not reach Mailinator depending on which server a sender picks.
• Every match ends in mailinator.com, so a rule that checks whether an MX host ends in mailinator.com catches all 90.

Old domains on an old list

All 90 were already in the list file on 8 October 2018, the earliest point in its Git history, so they have been treated as disposable for at least eight years. That's very different from generator.email's domains, almost all listed in 2026, or mail.tm's, which rotate. Mailinator's set is stable, so a plain list check already catches them, and our disposable email checker flags every one.

Mailinator or a private temp inbox?

Because Mailinator inboxes are public, anything sent to them can be read by anyone who guesses the inbox name. That's fine for testing a newsletter, and a bad idea for a verification code or a password reset.
