28 of the 59 were already listed in 2018, including long-running burner-style domains. Only 4 were first listed in 2026. That age profile fits domains that were once active throwaways and later stopped being renewed as proper mail hosts, then settled on a parking provider's DNS.

Parking MX and disposable detection
A parking MX tells you the domain is not running a full mailbox product of its own. It does not tell you whether a human still reads mail there, or whether a temp mail operator will point it somewhere else tomorrow. For sign-up forms, keep using the disposable email checker and the full disposable domains list; use MX only as context, the same way how sites detect disposable email recommends.
If you want a burner-style address on a service that still runs its own inbox UI, compare options such as burner email and our Volt Ghost vs EmailOnDeck page rather than relying on an old parked name.
Other forwarding and parking MX groups we have broken down: Cloudflare Email Routing, Google Workspace MX, Mailgun.
Above.com (also known as Trellian) is a domain-parking network, not a mailbox provider. park-mx.above.com is the mail exchanger parked domains publish when nobody is collecting mail there. A message sent to one of these 59 names typically never reaches a person; the MX is there because the domain is parked, which is why a parking MX is a useful disposable signal even when the brand is not a temp mail site.
Look up a domain
Look up one name to see if it parks mail at Above.com, who hosts its email, or what its MX records say.
Questions
What is park-mx.above.com?
It is Above.com's mail exchanger for domains on its parking / managed-DNS service. Domains using it typically also use Above nameservers such as ns1.abovedomains.com.
How many listed disposable domains use it?
59 on 6 November 2026, and every one of them still had that MX when we re-checked.
Is a parked domain still disposable?
If it is on the disposable list, treat it as listed. Parking means the domain may no longer run an active temp mail UI, but the name can still be reactivated or can still accept mail into whatever Above's MX does with it.
Should sign-up forms block park-mx.above.com?
Not by itself. Prefer a list check. Blocking every parked MX would also hit domains that simply expired and moved to a parking provider.
